Prices have been hopping up and down when it comes to the Pokémon TCG’s Pitch Black expansion, but it looks like the sub-$80 range is becoming the norm for its ETB while stocks last.
As of Sept. 10, the Pokémon TCG: Pitch Black Elite Trainer Box is ready to buy for as low as $77.98 at Amazon.
That knocks $42.01 off the $119.99 list price, translating to a 35% saving. The default listing, sold and shipped directly by Amazon (free delivery currently estimated for Sept. 15, or Sept. 13 for Prime members), currently has 10 units left at the time of writing; however, third-party seller ‘shopnav’ has dropped its own to the same price.
Amazon isn’t quite at TCGplayer pricing, although there’s now less than $6 separating its deal from the trading card marketplace’s $72.30 estimated market value. That said, buying from TCGplayer listings can save you even more money, with the lowest now at $72.99, including shipping, putting it $4.99 below Amazon.
No matter who you buy this Pitch Black box from, you’re getting nine Pitch Black booster packs of trading cards inside the ETB, alongside a full-art foil Zarude promo card, 65 card sleeves, 40 Energy cards, and a player’s guide. That’s along with six damage-counter dice, a competition-legal coin-flip die, a plastic coin, dividers, a collector’s box, and a Pokémon TCG Live code card.
At $77.98, the boosters alone average roughly $8.66 apiece — saving you 29 cents per pack compared to buying single Pitch Black boosters for $8.95, before accounting for the accessories or promo.
