Stephen King has taken a break from slamming Donald Trump on social media and reviewing horror films to reveal an interesting top 10 list.
On Monday, the horror master took to X (formerly Twitter) to share his "10 favorite films", excluding a few that are based on his own books.
"My 10 favorite movies (excluding MISERY, SHAWSHANK, GREEN MILE, STAND BY ME)," wrote King. "In no particular order."
This Tweet is currently unavailable. It might be loading or has been removed.
Here's the full list of King's favorite films (and where you can stream them):
Sorcerer (1977) — streaming on Prime Video.
Godfather 2 (1974) — streaming on MGM+ via Prime Video.
The Getaway (1972) — streaming on Prime Video.
Groundhog Day (1993) — streaming on Netflix.
Casablanca (1942) — streaming on HBO Max.
Treasure of the Sierra Madre (1948) — streaming on Prime Video.
Jaws (1975) — streaming on Netflix.
Mean Streets (1973) — streaming on Prime Video.
Close Encounters of the Third Kind (1977) — streaming on Prime Video.
Double Indemnity (1944) — streaming on Prime Video.
Interestingly the list has quite a mixture of genres, mostly films from the '40s and '70s, multiple Humphrey Bogart films, and there are only a couple of movies — Jaws and Close Encounters of the Third Kind – that are even close to horror.
