Apple's first foldable phone, the iPhone Duo, will be available for pre-order on Oct. 16. But if you really want one, you can prepare for that moment four days in advance.
Reddit users noticed that Apple's pre-order page for the iPhone Duo now says you can "come back on 10.12 to get ready for pre-order."
To see what that means, just visit the pre-order page, where you can already pick your phone's finish and storage, choose whether you want to trade in an old device, and pick financing options, AppleCare coverage, and your preferred carrier.
Right now, you can't really do much with that, as the "Continue" button is greyed out. But on Oct. 12, you'll presumably be able to save all that data, so you can pre-order the phone with one click when the time comes.
The time will officially come at 5 a.m. PT (8 a.m. ET) on Oct. 16, and the iPhone Duo will start shipping to customers on Oct. 23.
While there's no official word on this, rumors have long claimed that the iPhone Duo might be in short supply at launch. While not everyone will be able to pre-order it right away, making sure you have everything set up before the pre-order window opens might help you get your device a bit sooner.
