The good news? Riz Ahmed is hosting SNL UK this weekend. The bad? He's apparently very, very method.
In the promo skit above, cast members Ayoade Bamgboye and George Fouracres enter the Bait star and creator's dressing room to find him dancing to music while holding a small chest of sweets. But the tone abruptly shifts when Fouracres asks him about his performance in Aneil Karia's 2025 version of Hamlet, prompting Ahmed's smile to vanish.
"I wasn't playing Hamlet, I went full method," says Ahmed. "I became Hamlet."
"What, you went on a real life murderous rampage to avenge the death of your father?" asks Fouracres.
Ahmed's response is to lift a finger to his lips, whisper "no" and then break into a slightly unnerving grin.
