TL;DR: Battlefield 6's Top Gun crossover launched as part of Season 4's biggest update, adding three fully voiced Top Gun characters, themed jets and cosmetics, a reimagined Wake Island map, and a new Gauntlet mission in Battlefield REDSEC. A free trial is running on all platforms through Aug. 25.
Battlefield 6 just got a very specific kind of crossover. The game's Top Gun collaboration has arrived as part of Season 4's biggest update yet, with Paramount Games Studio helping bring it to life. If you've been curious but haven't committed, the timing works out — a free trial is running across PC and console through Aug. 25.
The crossover brings three characters from the Top Gun franchise into Battlefield 6, and all three are voiced by their original film performers. Lt. Bradley "Rooster" Bradshaw is voiced by Miles Teller, Lt. Robert "Bob" Floyd by Lewis Pullman, and Adm. Solomon "Warlock" Bates by Charles Parnell. Players can also unlock Top Gun-inspired character skins and cosmetics to match.
The update adds two new aircraft to pilot: the F-74A Seacat and the F/A-81F Super Spectre. Team up with a squadmate to take them into dogfights across a reimagined version of Wake Island, one of Battlefield's classic maps, now rebuilt for this crossover.
A jets-only Gauntlet mission is now available, set on a reworked version of Tsuru Reef. The free trial runs through Aug. 25 across all platforms, giving players a window to check out the Top Gun content, the new jets, and the Season 4 update before committing to a purchase.
