A few years back, Amazon quietly released a new Fire HD 10 tablet. It's lighter, 25% faster, and longer-lasting than the previous iteration. It also has better cameras and support for Amazon's stylus. We were pretty surprised it didn't go on sale for Prime Day. In fact, the Fire HD 10, shockingly, hasn't seen a discount since Black Friday last year. So, when I spotted today's deal, I had to shout it out.

The Fire HD 10 tablet isn't going to wow you like, say, a 2026 iPad Air. It's a no frills tablet ideal for those who just want something portable to browse social media, stream their favorite shows, and maybe answer a few emails. Mashable's reviewer SaVanna Shoemaker said it's "lighter and faster than its predecessors, with a long battery life and vivid picture that makes it great for on-the-go entertainment." Compared to other well-known tablets, she also adds that it's an "excellent value."

If you're looking for a tablet that won't break the bank, but provides all the basics for entertainment in a feather-light frame, the Fire HD 10 is a solid pick. We particularly recommend it when it's under $100.
