Behind the Scenes of Content Marketing
Act 5
GOALS & METRICS
Before you can measure the effective-
ness of your content marketing strategy,
you need to have realistic goals and
metrics in place. Here are 10 important
goals and metrics for measuring your
content marketing success:
Landing page conversions
Tools like Google Analytics allow
you to track how many conversions
you've gotten from your landing pages.
This is one of the best ways to track
whether your blog pieces are doing an
effective job of filling the top of your
funnel. Adding clear call-to-action (CTA)
buttons to free trial forms is a great way
to direct signups and potential custom-
ers to your product or service. However,
like previously mentioned, content mar-
keting is a long-term strategy and it will
likely take several months to see results.
Don't give up – if your total blog visits
are steadily increasing over time, you're
likely on the right track.
