THE GAME
CHANGING
MOMENT
Super Bowl XLVII was one of 2013's biggest events, with the
Baltimore Ravens squaring off against the San Francisco
49ers in front of 71,000 screaming fans at the Mercedes-Benz
Superdome in New Orleans. It was an action-packed game
but, surprisingly, it wasn't football that got everyone talking.
During the third quarter, something happened that even the
most avid gamblers didn't bet on. Without warning, the power
went out in the stadium, suspending play for 30 minutes. The
world watched in disbelief as fans and players at the biggest
event of the year were left in the dark.
